 Meet the trainers of the Wilkes-Barre Dog training club

Eileen Hoyson

Eileen Hoyson is a Freestyle competitor and instructor who has been active in the sport for about 20 years. Her golden retrievers compete regularly in events sponsored by WCFO and Rally Freestyle Elements. Eileen and her dogs have won many awards over the years including high artistic score and high technical scores in several competitions. Her dogs have also performed at Pet expos, the national dog show, Pawsabilities, and other local events.

Dawn Miklich

Dawn first started training dogs when she was 16yrs old and took her first training class with the Wilkes-Barre Dog Training Club with her first dog, Whitney. Now after so many years later(we won't say how many) and training a variety of different breeds, she is training her Standard Poodle, Gusto, with the goal of competing in obedience, rally, musical freestyle, tricks and anything else they might decide to try.
